Al’Ula Launch Event
Welcome to Al’Ula, everyone!
From the 1st – to the 15th of February 2022, thousands of visitors attended the Road to Al’Ula event across three locations in the Middle East – Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Riyadh to celebrate the launch of the mystical ancient city of Al’Ula (click to routes, hyperlink) in MyWhoosh and live the MyWhoosh experience to the fullest.
Thousands of visitors rode, worked out, and competed with their friends., They took part in different challenges, spun the wheel, and won giveaways as well as customized jerseys. Some even raced in the Sunday Race Club and won prize money. These 15 days were filled with fun, fitness and will never be forgotten.

ACTIVITIES
The MyWhoosh Road to Al’Ula event entailed a fun-filled fortnight filled with merriment, events, exciting challenges, and amazing gifts for all of our visitors. We had multiple activations spread across all three locations.
RIDE WITH US
All the visitors got a chance to hop onto the bikes and ride to their heart’s content. For some, it was their first time experiencing a bike and smart trainer in a virtual cycling world. There was a strong community fitness vibe at all three locations. With some fantastic workout tracks and epic tunes, visitors enjoyed the atmosphere while joining in on one of our MyBunch Rides or enjoying the scenery on one of the Free Ride routes.
WORKOUT
MyWhoosh has an extensive library of workouts, designed by World Tour coaches, to choose from. During the event, hundreds of visitors opted to regularly visit and do their workouts with MyWhoosh at the event locations. Some of our more experienced users even created their own custom workout and completed it in front of a crowd.
SPIN THE WHEEL
All the visitors got a chance to spin the wheel and take some fantastic giveaways and goodie bags!
TEAM CHALLENGES
Hundreds of riders and cyclists chose our event locations as their preferred venue to race against each other and connect with riders worldwide. Some riders created teams and raced against friends in other locations.
FUN CHALLENGES
We had daily challenges for men and women scheduled across locations at specific times where visitors got the chance to compete with others in short races and win goodie bags filled with exciting gifts!
GOBIK® JERSEY CHALLENGES
We had multiple Gobik Jersey challenges where our visitors raced, rode challenging distances, and won a coveted Gobik® Jersey.
EXPERIENCE SOME OF THE BEST BIKES
Visitors got to check out and try riding on our impressive bike collection. With top brands from the cycling world, we have it all – from the special edition TDF Colnago® to top-quality bikes from Colnago®, Scott®, Factor® and Cervelo.
SUNDAY RACE CLUB
Usually, professional riders from all over the world take part in the Sunday Race Club events from the comfort of their homes. But for the first two weeks in February, we had enormous number of riders joining from our Road to Al’Ula event sites! With the introduction of categories for Professionals, Semi-Professionals, and Amateurs with a total prize pool of AED 187,000, the event attracted hundreds of riders from across the region.
